Protists

Protists are a very interesting group of creatures. The three main types are animal-like, plant-like, and fungus-like. There are unicellular protists, such as the animal-like amoeba and paramecium and the plant-like euglena. There are also multicellular protists. Ulva and algae are two sorts of multicellular protists. Unicellular protists are not visible to the human eye.
My favorite protist is the amoeba, which is unicellular, and is found in most sources of water. It feeds by engulfing its prey, and moves by pushing out its slow pseudopods. When viewed under a microscope while moving, it appears as though its insides are flowing from the inside to push against the walls and make it move. It reproduces through asexual binary fission. Most are not harmful.
